Facilities
Derek R Thompson Hut
The DRT hut is a large open-plan building ideal for use as a wet-weather activity centre, dining room, classroom or common room with tables and chairs for up to 30-people. It has a well-fitted and modern kitchen area including propane gas cooker and hob, upright fridge/freezer, sink, storage and ample work surfaces for food preparation and serving. A kettle and urn are provided as are two calor gas heaters.
Toilet block
The toilet block provides three urinals, four cubicles and three sinks in the boys toilet and two cubicles and a basin with hot and cold water in the girls toilet. There is a new special-needs facility reached via a wheelchair-friendly ramp that includes shower, WC and sink . This can also be designated as a leader's toilet.
Campfire Circle
A large campfire circle with log seating and a well-stocked woodpile is located on the edge of Woolgers Wood.
Parking
There is ample parking space immediately outside the campsite for up to 20 vehicles. Please note; vehicles are not allowed on the campsite. However trolleys are provided to help you move kit if needed.
